Past Student Thrillers

Hidden
This thriller could have been greatly improved. The quality of the audio was not as good as it could have been, & occasionally cut in & out. Another factor that could be improved is that of the lighting, which was not always as effective as it could have been, & was not very atmospheric. The acting could also be greatly improved. Camera shits & the transitions between them were not very smooth, causing some continuity issues. The music, however, was very effective & had a real thriller like-feel to it, adding to the atmosphere of the production.

Hunter
The acting & mannerisms of the characters could have been improved as they do entirely match up with the characters & the scenarios they are currently in. "Hunter", like "Hidden", also struggles with some continuity issues, as the editing & cutting during conversations are not as smooth as they could ideally be. Though they may not be very good when the thriller's characters are conversing, the editing & cutting between scenes greatly improve during scenes that do not include two or more people engaging in a conversation. Another similarity this thriller has with "Hidden" is the fact that it's music is it's strong point, adding a real atmospheric & thriller-esque feel to the piece. Unlike "Hidden", however, "Hunter"'s camera shots are done with much more technique, & to a much higher standard, adding to the film's authenticity. The Mise-en-scene of the opening is another one of it's strong points. The setting, clothing & props all work well within the story & help to make it seem very realistic & thriller-esque. Overall, "Hunter" is a much better & more professional looking thriller than that of "Hidden", as it ticked a lot more boxes & was executed in a noticeably more professional manner.
